Our Osteopaths

We’re lucky to have fantastic osteopaths at the clinic.  Their training involved a minimum 4-year degree course encompassing a thorough academic education and over 1000 hours of clinical practice in the student clinic.  They are all registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

Hollie Carter

Hollie Carter MOst MA(Oxon) PgACE

Partner – West Dulwich Osteopaths & Triangle Osteopaths

Hollie qualified from the British School of Osteopathy with distinction in 2011, having been awarded the prize for Clinical Excellence in her final exams.  She has worked in a variety of practices since graduating and took the reins at West Dulwich Osteopaths in 2015.

Hollie did a degree in Physiology before training as an osteopath. She has always been fascinated by the complex workings of the body and loves helping people understand their problem and get back to feeling their normal selves after a period of pain or injury.

 

Charlie Burgess-Mead

Charlotte Burgess-Mead MSc MOst

Partner – West Dulwich Osteopaths & Triangle Osteopaths

Charlie studied with Hollie at the British School of Osteopathy, completing her M.Ost Master Of Osteopathy Degree in 2011. Alongside working, she completed a second masters, an MSc in Sports & Exercise Medicine, at Queen Mary’s University London in 2016.

Charlie has a wide range of experience with all types of patients from the very young to the very elderly, using a wide range of techniques. 

The focus of her most recent masters has given her a unique perspective on injury management and prevention specific to individual sports. She is passionate about providing bespoke, holistic treatment, rehabilitation and management plans for all types of musculoskeletal injuries.

Charlie firmly believes that no matter how long you’ve been in pain there’s no reason to stay there!

 

 

Gina Osborne

Gina Osborne MOst BSc (Hons)

Gina graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with a master’s degree in osteopathy. Gina uses a range of osteopathic techniques in her work and has clinical experience working with a wide range of patients including expectant mothers, older patients and those with long-term health conditions such as HIV.

Gina has always been fascinated by health and the human body; before qualifying as an osteopath she worked as a medical researcher for over 10 years and uses her analytical and observational skills to aid her as a clinician. Coming from a science background, Gina has a structural approach and uses tailored, person-centred treatments to aid recovery and achieve the best outcomes.

 

 

Livia West Dulwich Osteopaths

Livia Battafarano

 Livia Battafarano MOst

Livia graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with a Master’s degree in osteopathy.

She uses a variety of techniques in her treatment, including soft tissue massage, joint manipulation, sports massage and dry needling/medical acupuncture.

Throughout her training she worked with patients of various ages and background, with a passion for providing the best patient care.

Livia finds the human body fascinating. She is passionate about helping patients understand how their body works and guiding them towards recovery. She enjoys the osteopathic holistic approach, finding a tailored treatment plan for each individual patient.

 

 

Mariana Bakewell

Mariana Bakewell MOst MSc Sports Medicine

Mariana graduated from the University College of Osteopathy (UCO) in 2016, and in 2022 gained a master’s degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary’s University of London (QMUL).

She treats adults from all backgrounds, and her special interests include headaches; jaw pain; neck and back pain; aches and pains caused by desk-based work and stress; and sports injuries. She also has extensive experience of treating musicians, singers and dancers at the Royal Opera House and the Urdang Academy, and amateur athletes taking part in endurance running and cycling events.

In addition to her clinical work, Mariana works as a Practice Educator at the UCO student clinic, teaches Osteopathic technique at the London School of Osteopathy, and is a guest lecturer and examiner at QMUL.

Mariana is a compassionate and supportive osteopath who tailors her treatment and management plans to the individual and is committed to seeing people achieve their goals.

 

Lolitaire Healey

Lolitaire Healey MOst DO, UKIHCA-RHC
Lolitaire graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2017 and has since worked in both the UK and New Zealand, treating a wide range of patients from young people to older adults. In 2021, she completed additional training in Health and Life Coaching, with a focus on behaviour change and lifestyle medicine and is now a Registered Health Coach with the UK and International Health Coaches Association.
Her special interests include the treatment of chronic pain, headaches and migraines, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, pelvic and hip pain, pregnancy and postnatal musculoskeletal issues, and postural strains related to desk-based work and stress.
Lolitaire draws from a variety of techniques to create holistic treatment and management plans. These include soft tissue techniques, joint mobilisation and manipulation, passive stretching, dry needling, exercise-based rehabilitation, habit change tools, and mindfulness-based approaches where appropriate.
She strongly believes in person-centred care and was drawn to Osteopathy’s holistic approach through her background in dance. Lolitaire is a friendly and professional Osteopath who believes everyone deserves to feel well and pain-free.
